Premessa
Ciao!
sono Panda e, dato che ho un solo neurone, ho acquistato due CPE510 (cloni Ubiqiti Nanostation M5) senza controllare la versione delle antenne.
Qui raccolgo la mia esperienza con queste antenne.
Versione HW/SW
le antenne che ho preso io sono hardware version v1.1 e il software sulle antenne era v1.3.
La versione HW menzionata sulla TOH di openwrt e' la v1 e viene indicato che l'antenna e' supportata dalla versione 15.05, motivo per cui le ho acquistate.
Software installato
Quando ho provato ad installare l'attuale firmware NinuxBo (basato su Chaos Calmer) sull'antenna il l'interfaccia tp-link mi ha risposto con "The hardware version is not supported."
l'unica versione di openwrt che sono riuscito ad installare e' stata la Bleeding Edge, ovvero l'ultimissima ancora in beta, che al 2016/02/07 e' la Designated Driver, la versione esatta che ho isntallato e': openwrt-ar71xx-generic-cpe210-220-510-520-squashfs-factory dal repo degli snapshot della trunk.
La ho installata sia dall'interfaccia grafica di TP-Link che con la procedura di recovery descritta piu' sotto.
Procedura di Recovery
- procurarsi il firmware da flashare tramite la procedura di recovery, NB: FUNZIONA SIA CON QUELLI DI TP-LINK CHE CON OPENWRT
- installare un server tftp
- prendere il firmware, metterlo nella cartella del tftp server e cambiargli nome in recovery.bin
- togliere alimentazione all'antenna
- premere il pulsate di reset sull'antenna
- ridare alimentazione all'antenna e attendere 8/10 secondi
- quando si vede attivita' sul server tftp lasciar andare il pulsante di reset
attenzione: mi e' capitato che alcuni recovery fallissero, riprovando hanno funzionato

Libremesh per NinuxBo
Al momento non ho trovato una versione di firmware che abbiamo compilato per LiMe che funzioni sull'antenna.
